One really cool place to take a vacation would be in Hawaii, particulary the lovely island of Maui. Although all of the islands in the chain are great for taking a vacation in my opinion Maui stands out in the crowd from all of them. This place is very popular for those who are either getting married, or if they are out on their honeymoon. One of the nice towns that are located on this island is called Lahaina, and it has been known as an old fishing village.
There are many things to do in this small town as it is designed for the tourist, so you can expect to find an array of shopping in the small town, not only that there is also a museum there for you and if my memory serves me right it is a museum for whales. What would a beach vacation be without going to the beach? There are many places here on the island where you can learn to surf, if the waves are small enough as sometimes they can get pretty big and no one wants to injure themselves while they are on vacation.
Another cool thing that you can do on your vacation on the island of Maui is that you can take a trip to Hana all the way down the Hana Highway, which is about a 2 hour trip if you are to drive straight through all of the way. Not many people do that though unless they live their and have to, the reason for this is all of the activities and tourist traps that you can visit on the way to the other side of the island.
There are tons of hiking trails that you could view and walk on also there are some waterfalls that you can visit and take pictures of, there is even a beach that has black sand on it also which is pretty cool to see while you are enjoying your vacation. If you want to see some natural pools you could visit the Ohe’s Gulch, which is a collection of natural pools that formed from water trickling in from the ocean, a great place to cool off on a hot day if you wanted to take a little dip in the water.
You could also stop by the town of Kihei, which is located on the southern side of the island and it is another place that is targeted towards the tourist. If you want to save some type of money this would probably be the best choice for you as this town is considered to be on the low end of the budget.
Last but not least is the famous aquarium that is located on the island and it is called the Maui Ocean Center. It Is located in the town of Ma’alea and you can see everything there from sharks to stingrays. So if you are wanting to plan the perfect vacation, especially for those that are honeymooning then the island of Maui would be a great place for you to take it.
